How to Use Your Benefits

Board of Trade members have many opportunities to network, learn, and contribute. Take the following steps to make sure your organization is maximizing the value of its Board of Trade membership.

Step one: Review your opportunities

Take a minute to read this overview of member benefits and identify activities that interest you.

Step two: Know your primary contact

Every member organization must identify one person (an employee of the organization) to serve as their primary contact for the Board of Trade. The primary contact manages the organization’s participation in Board of Trade activities and has several important responsibilities:

  • Distribute event tickets
  • Notify colleagues of relevant participation opportunities and/or encourage colleagues to join the Board of Trade mailing list
  • Pay membership dues

Step three: Claim your event tickets

Board of Trade member organizations receive a set of complimentary event tickets with their membership. The number of tickets they receive depends on their membership level. Members can claim their complimentary tickets by entering their organization’s member code at check-out during online registration.

The organization’s primary contact (described above) is responsible for distributing the organization’s complimentary tickets to colleagues and is the only individual who will receive the member code from Board of Trade staff.

For Primary Contacts: Contact [email protected] to obtain your benefits summary, which indicates how many tickets your organization receives to each event, and your member code. Distribute the member code to colleagues who may claim those tickets and instruct them to register online at

For other members: Ask your primary contact if your organization has a complimentary ticket to a Board of Trade event that interests you, and if you may have the member code to claim it.

Step four: Stay informed

Every week, the Board of Trade adds new events to its calendar and advances its mission to drive civic improvements and inclusive economic growth in our region.

  • Join our mailing list to receive event invitations and announcements. Members will also receive a monthly newsletter that bundles and curates important information. Subscribers will receive approximately two emails per week, on average. To subscribe, fill out the form in the footer of this web page.

And don’t forget to bring in your team! Encourage colleagues who could benefit from Board of Trade activities to join our mailing list and follow us on social media as well so that they can get involved.

Step five: Boost your brand

Sponsoring a Board of Trade event can boost your organization’s brand among peers and regional leaders. Sponsorship opportunities can be tailored to meet your organization’s needs, from intimate dinners with a targeted list of VIP executives to large parties for widespread exposure.
