Signature Events
Mid-Winter Dinner
An annual tradition for over 100 years, this black-tie gala attracts over 300 business, government, and community leaders for an elegant dinner in the Washington National Cathedral.
Fall Business Classic
This business-attire cocktail party attracts over 400 professionals for festive networking at a new, unique venue each year.
Annual Meeting
Our annual business meeting is a time for members to learn about Board of Trade milestones and activities and network with 400+ of their peers.
Presentations & Conferences
TD Bank Morning Star Speaker Series
This breakfast event features inspiring speakers and is held three or four times per year; past speakers include Jean Case, Muhammed Yunus, and Arianna Huffington.
Capital Region Business Forum
This is one of the only events in the region that features the Governors of Maryland and Virginia and the Mayor of the District. It attracts over 400 professionals and is open to non-members.
Capital Region Transportation Forum
This is one of the only events in the region featuring the transportation department leads from Virginia, Maryland, and the District; it is co-hosted with the Greater Washington Partnership and attracts over 400 professionals.
Executive Engagement
Several times per month, the Board of Trade convenes executives over breakfast, lunch, or dinner for elevated networking and the chance to discuss the regional business environment. These events are by invitation only. Members may sponsor an executive meal to build their brand and make targeted connections.
Professional Development
Emerging Leaders Network
This event series is for professionals in approximately the first decade of their career. Guest speakers provide insights and guidance on how to build a successful career in Greater Washington. Learn more >>
Professional Roundtables
These are small gatherings for peers in the same discipline to exchange best practices and discuss trends. Roundtables series are currently held for marketing, human resources, and IT professionals.
Public Policy Engagement
The Board of Trade hosts “policy chats” for government relations professionals at our member companies to explore public policy issues impacting the business environment. Contact Daniel Flores, VP of Government Relations, for more information.
Connected DMV Solution Groups
Connected DMV is the Board of Trade’s signature initiative to make Greater Washington a “smart region,” which means driving cutting-edge infrastructure and public amenities and productive regional collaboration. Experts and professionals from our member organizations volunteer their time and intellectual capital in Solution Groups to help shape the Connected DMV strategy and make it a success.
