About The Potomac Conference
The Potomac Conference is a year-round, action-oriented initiative focused on shaping the long-term economic future of Greater Washington. It’s a collaborative effort led by the Greater Washington Board of Trade in partnership with the Council of Governments, the Consortium of Universities, and the Greater Washington Partnership.
Together, these organizations convene top leaders from business, government, academia, and the nonprofit sector to confront the region’s most pressing economic challenges and uncover opportunities for growth. Through ongoing strategic planning, data-driven analysis, and focused coordination, the Potomac Conference is laying the groundwork for a more competitive, resilient, and inclusive regional economy.
This work builds throughout the year and culminates at the Annual Potomac Conference—where big ideas are elevated, aligned, and turned into bold, collective action.
