The Greater Washington Board of Trade’s programs provide regional executives opportunities to exchange ideas, make new connections and maintain business relationships.


Programs & Conferences

  • TD Bank Morning Star Speaker Series - These programs feature accomplished business executives and authors sharing their professional insights with senior-level executives. Past speakers have included Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter; Ted Koppel and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Muhammad Yunus. Sponsored by TD Bank.

  • Regional Forum on Transportation - No more pressing issue exists for this region than transportation. Come hear directly from the region's transportation leaders as they discuss major projects, funding needs, the Congressional outlook and the opportunities of public-private partnerships.

  • Capital Region Business Forum - The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Greater Washington Board of Trade and Prince George's Chamber of Commerce hosts the Annual Capital Region Business Forum. This program, designed to advance regional cooperation, provides key leaders the opportunity to discuss their cooperative efforts to bolster the regional economy in an ever competitive global marketplace. The event will address opportunities and challenges that affect the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  • Outlook Conference - The Board of Trade presents the Outlook Conference featuring key thought leaders and economists. This forum will offer an inside look at trends and opportunities impacting the regional market,with special focus on major industries – such as real estate, tourism, transportation, energy, construction and cyber – as well as the most pressing issues and legislation that will shape how you do business next year.

Business and Professional Development

  • Professional Roundtables - These events convene business leaders in profession specific groups, including Chief Operating Officers/Chief Financial Officers/General Counsel, Human Resources, and Marketing/Communications, to share best practices and discuss trends in Greater Washington’s business environment.
  • Committees - Focusing on the Board of Trade’s top priorities, committees will address issues and opportunities related to Smart Cities, Cyber, Workforce and Transportation. Committee participation is limited to senior-level leaders with relevant expertise.

  • OPPTY - Business opportunities abound in Greater Washington, and Board of Trade members will be the first to hear about it from OPPTY, a special publication produced by the Greater Washington Board of Trade. Offering analysis of the most important emerging regional issues, OPPTY provides insider insight from top regional leaders and resources to reap the rewards of key developments.
