Maryland Political Action Committee

Members of the PACs financially support congressional, state and local candidates and policymakers who support the Board of Trade policy agenda by consistently seeking to improve the region’s quality of life and business climate. All members can support the PACs with financial contributions of any amount; contact the staff liaison about contribution levels and the decision-making process.

In the 2006 state and local elections, the Maryland PAC was very active, making key endorsements in the races for Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, County Executive and state and local legislative seats. The PAC interviewed candidates in targeted races, reviewed voting records, candidate questionnaires and other background. The process not only helped elected quality candidates, it also raised awareness about important regional business issues and exposed PAC members to current and future elected leaders.
