Greater Washington Regional Report

GWI’s annual signature publication, the Greater Washington Regional Report provides current demographic, economic, and quality of life data on the Washington, DC metro area. This publication compares the Washington, DC metropolitan area – including the District of Columbia and neighboring parts of Maryland and Virginia – to nine major metro areas around the nation.


2006 International Study: "Greater Washington: International Commerce and Culture"

Released in April 2006, this study highlights changes in the region’s international business environment since GWI completed a similar study in 2001. Who Cares? Examining Greater Washington's Health Care Workforce

This June 2005 study found significant workforce shortages throughout Greater Washington in 23 nursing and allied health professions. It concluded that that the region’s educational and training institutions do not currently have the capacity to train enough workers for all current and projected openings.
