Board of Trade Urges MD Leaders to Allocate $600 Million in Transportation Funding. Last week, the Board of Trade had encouraging words in response to MD Gov. Martin O’Malley’s budget proposal that would allocate $400 million in new transportation funds for the state. While the Governor’s proposal is “an excellent start,” the Board of Trade noted $600 million is required. To reach this funding goal, the Board of Trade recommends a package of revenue sources, including an increase in the state’s gas tax.
