The Government Relations Group sponsors a "Breakfast Club" program that features presentations from key elected and appointed government officials to our members on timely public policy topics.
These leaders provide important updates on a range of issues critical to the advocacy program of the Board of Trade. Among the leaders that we have hosted and invited are members of Congress Chris Van Hollen and Tom Davis, U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes and Admiral James Loy, Secretary of the new Transportation Security Administration. The Government Relations Department supports our Political Action Committees (PAC) and their policy committee, which hold receptions and other events to introduce government officials to our members and to raise funds for PAC activities.
