Building Your Strategic Network

What's it about

While women are great at making friends, they often shy away from the idea of building relationships for the purpose of achieving a particular goal. In this session, Lynette Demarest, Senior Consultant, Shambaugh Leadership, will explore the meaning of "strategic" and use a structured approach for building a network, both inside and outside your organization. Participants will learn specific techniques for asking for help and will explore the "law of reciprocity." Session Two will be followed by a panel of regional women executives who will share thoughts on how strategic relationships helped them advance; the importance of these relationships in their careers today; and offer advice for women wanting to develop a Strategic Network.
