What’s it about

The Greater Washington Board of Trade has partnered with the Washington Business Journal to offer this five-part series throughout 2009 targeted to rising executives. Series includes four professional development sessions, each featuring an executive panel of women business leaders, as well as an evening networking reception reserved for current participants and alumni.

Attendees should have demonstrated experience in: leadership, budget, management & supervisory tasks. Attendance is limited to 50 participants per session and three women per company.

The final session of the series will help participants identify communication techniques that will build confidence, influence decisions and achieve results. Participants will learn tools for presenting ideas and building rapport for greater impact. A panel of regional executives will share experience and lessons learned with using the 'right' words to build and lead teams; gaining respect through communicating ideas clearly; and tips for using and adjusting their communication styles to connect with their audience.
