Join the Greater Washington Board of Trade and Washingtonian Magazine on Friday, October 23 as we celebrate “Great Places to Work."

The morning conference will feature two panel presentations dedicated to “Becoming a Great Place to Work." Our first panel presentation will feature our region’s top employment firm executives who have an ‘ear to the ground’ on what both employers and job seekers are looking for.  These experts will speak to those recruiting and retention strategies most relevant in today’s market.

"Best Recruitment and Retention Practices for Today's Economy" will feature:

  • Elizabeth Humphrey, Principal, The McCormick Group
  • Camille Mosley, Vice President, Lee Hecht Harrison
  • Steve Saah, Director of Permanent Placement Services, Robert Half International, Inc.

Our second panel will focus on the importance of corporate responsibility in recruiting and retaining your workforce.  Our featured panelists will offer immediate strategies to help you take action.

"Social Responsibility and Your Bottom Line" will be moderated by Jim Dinegar, President and CEO, Greater Washington Board of Trade, and will feature:

  • Michael Danzansky, Chief Visionary Officer, The World Benefits
  • Katherine Jankowski, Director of Partnerships, Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington
  • George Schindler, President, CGI Federal.

Over lunch, join us as we honor Washingtonian Magazine’s 2009 Great Places to Work — a coveted prize among some of the region’s most determined – and employee-friendly – companies.
